Portfolio > One Life To Live

One Life To Live is a series of iron screenprints on muslin of the unfinished autobiography written by my Omi, Hildegard Piwak Stern, in the 1960's. In this context, this story is published as a printed document to be read by a greater audience to commemorate the story of a World War II survivor who lived in occupied Vienna, Austria. Similar to the iron embedded in the fiber, One Life To Live ages with the reader - endlessly, yet slowly, corroding over time.
